Activities

The Activity Department of Spruce Manor has the privilege to care for the spiritual, physical, emotional  and recreational needs of our residents on a daily basis. We strive to make Spruce Manor feel like home to each resident every day. Residents are encouraged to take part in meaningful activities such as:

• Bible readings
• hymn singing
• baking & tea times
• soup & bun making
• exercises
• Bingo
• wiener roasts
• crafts
• special small group breakfasts and lunches
• book club
• birthday parties
• and more!

Excursions

The Activity Department also takes our residents out on many different excursions such as:

• country rides
• fast-food runs
• combine chasing
• many different restaurants
• The Berry Barn
• The Barn Playhouse
• The Forestry Farm
• The Western Development Museum
• and anywhere our residents express interest in going, (even to Duck Lake Museum!)

Holidays

We also have the opportunity to celebrate special occasions with our residents:

• Valentine's Day special meal
• Easter brunch and baby chick visit
• Mother's Day salad fiesta
• Father's Day Show & Shine Car Show
• Western Days
• resident family Christmas
• Faspa
• Santa visit

The Activity Department is also involved in bake sales and other fundraising events to raise funds to enhance the quality of life for the residents that we serve at Spruce Manor Special Care Home.
